What about Prop 8 - Tell us GAB Girls!

Welcome to our blogspot. You have entered the world of GAB-Girls, or Girls Against Blogging. Let me introduce you to US.

First we have Y. Y is against blogging AND AGAINST PROP 8! - Because every individual has a right to equality. Just like Blacks and Women who once didn't have the right to vote now can and they should because we should all be equal and have equal rights.

Next we have N - N is also against blogging and I am not sure which way N will vote on Prop 8, but I am sure she will be signing in soon and and telling us what she thinks

Last in the group is d. d is also against blogging and is totally against Prop 8 for the same reasons Y is. First of all, it is no ones business who is married to whom and d has no idea how this could possibly affect anyone else other than those who will be involved. Plus.. think of how much work the courts will have with all the divorces that will take place. Just like heterosexual couples, homosexuals will surely be visiting the divorce courts. The divorce lawyers will have their hands full too. This is job security folks.

YN and D ask you all to chime in. It is for a good cause. We are in a class where we are forced to blog and what better topic than Prop 8. That oughta still some folks up a bit!

Don't hold back! Say what you want, just say it!!! We need your help to break the public sphere!

Thank you so much for your help.
YN&D

  1. if you don't like blogging get out... I am for prop 8 because marriage is for a man and a women not for a women and a women or a man and a man.

  2. I totally agree with d, anyone who wants to get married should have the "joy" of seeing how much fun divorce can be. They (gay and lesbian couples) want equality, I say YES. If they think marriage is so great, let's see how they like divorces. Why deny anyone the opportunity to see both sides of the issue, I vote NO on prop 8!

  3. In the immortal words of Jack McCoy on Law & Order "let gays marry. Why shouldn't they be miserable like the rest of us?"

  4. I am completely and totally against prop 8 as well!
Homophobia is reaching too far into our society for prop 8 to even exist!
    It's ridiculous.

Anyway, why are you against blogging?
It is only public writing about whatever you want to! =)
No one forces anyone to do it; so what is making you against it?
    Just curious!

  5. Well, we are not against blogging, per se, it is just that we are so new at it, we don't necessarily feel comfortable with it yet. As anything that is forced on someone, one may have a tendency to resist in the beginning. And besides that, it worked wonderfully with the acronym GAB (Girls Against Blogging!) How much better can it get?!

  6. I don't like blogging either, I prefer to speak with someone face to face. That's why I'm posting anonymously. If you want my opinion, ask me. I DO like the acronym....... Let me GAB in person!

  7. I'm voting NO on Prop.8. Marriage is a bond between two people. To human beings. They have tried to stop Marriages between Religions, Races and Nationalities. That didn't work because Love trumps All. So here's to Love in All it's Glory.

  8. I'm N, and I am also absolutely against prop 8. It's simply a matter of a bunch of busybodies trying to control the lives of those they don't approve of. "Live & let live."

As for moe, we probably will get out as soon as we get our grade for it. Also, whose rule is that about marriage being only for heterosexuals? If you are quoting someone, you should at least say who.

  9. Prop 8 would not just write discrimination into the state constitution, it would throw into limbo literally thousands of marriages that have occurred in the past five months. Everything the conservatives are saying in the ads is a lie, and as usual it's all fear based. Please vote No! and give whatever you can to either Equality California or directly to No on 8 to help us defeat hatred and discrimination!

  10. No on 8. This is a country based on equal rights. Racism, sexism, any other ism will eventually catch up with you. Live and let live. shibadoc in SoCal

  11. After trying to import an existing blog into blogger.com, I can understand why you're "against" blogging.

Anyway, since you said to post your blogs, here's mine

    Good luck with your project!

  12. It took until 3am to figure out how to import my MySpace blog into blogger.com. You can find it here. Your instructor better appreciate this and give you all an 'A.'

If he doesn't, the least he can do is spend serious money at You Scent Me

Hey, the guy did, say that being clever did not hurt ;)

  13. No on Prop 8 is the way to go! I have just particpated in two gay weddings, and there was more love in the room from these guys than in many of the straight couples I know! Everyone needs equal opportunity and equal rights!

  14. As I read this blog, a couple of the comments linking heterosexual marriage to misery and divorce make me wonder if gay marriage isn't maybe a better idea than we give it credit for….
I'm voting no on Prop 8, and I don't care much for blogging, but you do what you have to do, right girls?
